killer c3 sicilian.cbv
The Sicilian Defense is the sharpest and most complicated opening system in chess. Luckily for all you 1. e4 players, there is an easy way to sidestep memorizing a billion different lines in the Sicilian Defense – you can play an early sideline like the c3 Sicilian and specialize in a narrow opening system. The ¨Killer c3 Sicilian¨ features high-quality analysis by Irish International Master Sam Collins who brings a very fresh and young perspective to this chess DVD. With over 4.5 hours of expert instruction, you will feel overwhelmingly confident against opponents who love to bust out the complicated Sicilian Defense. The c3 Sicilian, also known as the Alapin Variation, is an extremely effective weapon that is suitable for chess players of all strengths. Many of the world´s leading grandmasters such as Michael Adams and Sergei Tiviakov frequently employ the c3 Sicilian – proving the validity of this opening at the highest level. Former Irish Champion IM Sam Collins makes this chess DVD unforgettable as he explains the fundamental principles and ideas behind this fascinating opening with a killer sense of humor and presentation.

The Grand Prix Attack is one of White’s most enterprising weapons against the Sicilian Defence, and a favourite among club players and Grandmasters alike. This is an opening that must be treated with both caution and respect. Over the past few years Grandmaster Gawain Jones, arguably the world’s leading expert on the variation, has used the Grand Prix Attack to defeat a number of world class opponents, which demonstrates that underestimating its potential can cause casualties even at the highest level. This DVD will provide you with a comprehensive repertoire that explores all of Black’s ideas against the Grand Prix set up. My recommendations include a number of lines which are relatively unexplored by theory, and I have analysed them extensively. With these surprises under your belt, you will be well placed to deliver the devastating blows that the Grand Prix Attack is famous for!”

GM Damian Lemos was no stranger to success at an early age, achieving the FIDE Master title at 14 years old, International Master at 15, and Grandmaster at 18 and he has been recruited by OnlineChesslessons.NET to present a number of videos for both English and Spanish speaking students.
This DVD (part 2 of 2) covers Bb5 Systems against The Sicilian Defense with an emphasis on the core White strategies involving immediate and sometimes unprovoked Bxc6! This Anti–Sicilian approach will have opponents frightened to play their favourite Sicilian once the Bb5 Mastery is reached.

The Sveshnikov Variation of the Sicilian – 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 e5 – also known as Lasker-Pelikan or Cheliabinsk Variation – is one of the most popular and fascinating replies to 1.e4. Right from the beginning, Black is striving for active and dynamic counterplay, and this results in a double-edge struggle for the initiative. In the seventies of the 20th century it was Jevgeni Sveshnikov who worked out the system as a pioneer. Today, it fi rmly belongs to the repertoire of many outstanding players like Kramnik, Lautier, Radjabov and Leko. Dutch top grandmaster and six-times national champion Loek van Wely himself has played the Sveshnikov since 1998. On this DVD he comments on his latest encounters with world-class players like Shirov, Anand, Topalov and Kramnik. Nearly all games are from the period 2003-2006. As one would expect in the Sveshnikov, the games abound with combinatorial ideas and sacrifices; a feast for all fans of tactics. Van Wely focuses on the main variations 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 e5 6.Ndb5 d6 7.Bg5 a6 8.Na3 b5 9.Nd5 Be7 10.Bxf6 Bxf6 11.c3 Bg5 12.Nc2 and 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 e5 6.Ndb5 d6 7.Bg5 a6 8.Na3 b5 9.Bxf6 gxf6 10.Nd5 f5.
